The Jesus Prayer - Lord Jesus have mercy on me, a sinner

Kírie Isú Christé, Ié tu Theú, eléison me, ton amartolón

My brother, keep praying with your mouth until divine grace enlightens you to pray also with your heart.  Then a celebration and festival will take place within you in a wondrous way, and you will no longer pray with your mouth but with the attention which works in the heart.

The Name of Jesus Christ which we invoke in prayer, contains within it self-existing and self-acting restorative power. So do not worry about the imperfection and dryness of your prayer, but with perseverance await the fruit of the repeated invocation of the Divine Name.

Nombre nuevo

Un Nombre Nuevo by Hermana Glenda on Grooveshark

YA NO TE LLAMARAN ABANDONADA
NI A TU TIERRA MAS DEBASTADA
A TI TE LLAMARAN MI FAVORITA
PORQUE TU TIERRA TENDRA MARIDO

TE PONDRAN UN NOMBRE NUEVO
PRONUNCIADO POR TU DIOS
VERAN LOS PUEBLOS TU JUSTICIA
Y LOS REYES TU GLORIA

YA NO TE LLAMARAN ABANDONADA
NI A TU TIERRA MAS DEBASTADA
A TI TE LLAMARAN MI FAVORITA
PORQUE TU TIERRA TENDRA MARIDO

SERAS CORONA DE ADORNO
LA PALPA DE TU DIOS
Y CON GOZO DE ESPOSO
SE GOZARA POR TI TU DIOS

YA NO TE LLAMARAN ABANDONADA
NI A TU TIERRA MAS DEBASTADA
A TI TE LLAMARAN MI FAVORITA
PORQUE TU TIERRA TENDRA MARIDO
A TI TE LLAMARAN MI FAVORITA
PORQUE TU TIERRA TENDRA MARIDO.

Allahumma salli 'ala,
Sayyidina,
Muhammadin an-Nabiyyi al-ummiyyi,
Wa 'ala alihi wa sahbihi wa sallim.
(O Allah, send your peace and blessings upon our Master Muhammad, the Unlettered Prophet, and upon his family and companions.)

O My Lord,
My sins are like
The highest mountain;
My good deeds
Are very few
They’re like a small pebble.
I turn to You
My heart full of shame,
My eyes full of tears.
Bestow Your
Forgiveness and Mercy
Upon me.
Ya Allah,
Send your peace and blessings
On the Final Prophet,
And his family,
And companions,
And those who follow him.

NO COMPRENDO LO QUE ME PASA
NO HAGO LO QUE QUIERO
NO HAGO LO QUE QUIERO
NO COMPRENDO LO QUE ME PASA
SOLO HAGO AQUELLO QUE DETESTO
QUE DETESTO

QUIEN ME LIBRARA DE ESTA CONTRADICCION
QUE ME LLEVA A LA MUERTE
QUIEN ME LIBRARA DE MI
QUIEN ME LIBRARA DE ESTA CONDICION
QUE ME LLEVA A LA MUERTE

QUIEN ME LIBRARA, QUIEN ME LIBRARA
DE ESTA CONTRADICCION QUE ME LLEVA A LA MUERTE

Y CUANDO DESEO HACER EL BIEN
EL MAL ME SALE Y VENCE
EL MAL ME SALE Y VENCE
EXPERIMENTO TU FUERZA QUE HABITA EN MI
Y ME HACE PRISIONERO Y ME HACE PRISIONERO

Y  SI NO HAGO LO QUE QUIERO
DIME QUIEN SOY, DIME QUIEN SOY
SI NO HAGO ENTONCES LO QUE QUIERO
DIME QUE HAY EN MI, QUE YO NO LO QUIERO

QUE YO NO LO QUIERO
QUE YO NO LO QUIERO
QUE YO NO LO QUIERO

QUIEN ME LIBRARA DE ESTA CONTRADICCION
QUE ME LLEVA A LA MUERTE
QUIEN ME LIBRARA DE MI

GRACIAS SEAN DADAS AL SEÑOR JESUS
QUE ME LIBRO DE ESTA CONTRADICCION
QUE HAY EN MI, EN MI

GRACIAS SEAN DADAS AL SEÑOR JESUS
PORQUE ME LIBRO DE ESTA CONTRADICCION
QUE HAY EN MI, QUE HAY EN MI
QUE HAY EN MI, QUE HAY EN MI

Love makes us beautiful

'Let us love, because He first loved us.' We did not yet love Him: by loving we are made beautiful... our soul, my brethren, is ugly because of sin: by loving God it becomes beautiful... He first loved us, Who is always beautiful; and what were we when He loved us, but foul and ugly? But not to leave us foul; but to change us, and from deformity make us beautiful. How shall we become beautiful? By loving Him who is always beautiful. In as much as love grows in you, in so much beauty grows; for love is itself the beauty of the soul.

'He had no form of comeliness that we should look at Him.'  The deformity of Christ forms you. For if He had not wished to be deformed you would not have received back the form that you lost. Therefore, He hung deformed upon the cross, but His deformity was our beauty.

The Bridegroom made Himself ugly for the sake of the ugly Bride, in order to make her beautiful.

Why do you seek beauty O soul? That your Betrothed may love you; for you displease Him by your ugliness. First let your deformity displease you and then you will deserve beauty from Him... For He who formed you will reform you.

His Bride, His beautiful one, but by Him made beautiful; ugly before, because of sin, after forgiveness and grace, beautiful.

That you might know that Christ, Who is loved, is beautiful, the Prophet says, 'Fairer in beauty than the children of men,' His beauty surpasses that of all men. What is it we love in Christ - His crucified limbs, His pierced side, or His love? Love is loved. He loved us, that we might in turn love Him; and that we might return His love He has given us His Spirit.

There is a beauty in righteousness... it seeks men's eyes and inflames its lovers. For this, the martyrs, treading underfoot the world, shed their blood. What did they love when they renounced everything? For were they not lovers? He who does not love is cold, is dead... Let us love, but that beauty which seeks the eyes of the heart... Men exclaim, they cry aloud, they say everywhere, How good! How excellent! What do they see? Is it righteousness they see, in which an old man bowed down is beautiful...?

St Augustine

Thirsty pilgrim

Give me a lover, he will feel what I speak; give me one who longs, who hungers, who is the thirsty pilgrim in this wilderness, sighing after the springs of his eternal homeland; give me such a man, he will know what I mean.

St Augustine
